HIDDEN IN THE DARKNESS
Hidden in the darkness I must forever stay
For in the light pain is always true
In the darkness, I have nothing to say
I only wait and wait only for you.
Hidden in the darkness my feelings lie.
Never seen nor heard nor touched by the light
In the darkness, a piece of me will die.
I see no relief so why should I fight?
Hidden in the darkness, it’s only me.
There’s never any comfort to be found.
In the darkness, it’s always plain to see
I open my heart but you’re not around.
Hidden in the darkness, I’m always lost
Yet I’ll find my sunlight despite the cost.
